Personal auto insurance with a gig/delivery endorsement. Standard personal auto is not enough — you must add an endorsement that covers delivery app work.
Minimum limits: $50K/$100K/$25K liability + comp + collision.

- Get the GigLane VIN from your booking confirmation
- Call your insurer — say: "I need to add a temporary vehicle VIN and a gig/delivery endorsement"
- Give them the VIN and rental dates
- Ask for your updated declarations page (dec page)
- Upload the dec page in your booking confirmation or below
Timeline: Same day to 48 hours. Adding a VIN costs nothing extra with Mercury, State Farm, or Progressive.
Progressive is the fastest — quote, bind, and get a dec page online in ~15 minutes. Go to progressive.com.
Add the GigLane VIN during sign-up and make sure to select the delivery/gig endorsement. Download your dec page immediately after purchase.
Upload your insurance declarations page (dec page) — not your insurance ID card.
The dec page must show: GigLane VIN, your name, coverage dates, gig endorsement, and minimum limits ($50K/$100K/$25K).
Accepted: PDF, JPG, PNG (max 10MB)
A $50/week surcharge applies to Uber/Lyft rideshare only — not delivery drivers.
