No credit check, ever. We know life happens and credit scores don't tell the whole story. To rent with GigLane you'll need a valid driver's license and proof that you're active on a gig platform (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Uber, Lyft, or similar). No security deposit required. That's it.

Insurance is handled by Wheelbase, our trusted booking partner. When you book through the Wheelbase widget, they manage all vetting and insurance requirements on our behalf. You don't need to source separate insurance or upload declarations pages — Wheelbase takes care of it as part of the booking process.

Rentals are billed weekly. The Kia Forte starts at $275/week and the Nissan Versa Note is $297/week. Each weekly rate includes all maintenance and repairs and gig platform documentation. Booking goes through Wheelbase, which handles vetting and insurance. No hidden fees, no surprise charges, no long-term commitment. You pay week to week and can return the car with proper notice whenever you're ready.

Browse the fleet, pick a vehicle, then use the Wheelbase booking widget on our site (or booking page). Wheelbase handles the full process — driver approval, insurance, and rental agreement. Once approved, you'll receive pickup details. If a vehicle isn't available, use the "Get Notified" button to join the waitlist.

Yes, and the allowance depends on your gig type. Delivery drivers get 800 miles/week — more than enough for a full week of DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Instacart. Rideshare drivers get 1,200 miles/week to match the higher mileage that Uber/Lyft driving demands. Miles in excess of your weekly allowance are billed at $0.10/mile. Your tier is locked in at booking, and your rental agreement will reflect the correct limit. If you switch between delivery and rideshare, just let us know.

We do. Oil changes, tire rotations, brakes, unexpected mechanical issues — all handled by GigLane at no extra cost to you. If the car needs service, we coordinate a time that minimizes your downtime. In the event of a breakdown, 24/7 roadside assistance is available. The only thing you pay for is fuel and any damage caused by your own negligence.

We accept Stripe (debit or credit card), Cash App, and Zelle. Weekly payments are due on a recurring schedule — we'll confirm the exact day when you sign your agreement. No checks or money orders. If you need a different arrangement, ask us at booking and we'll see what we can do.

It's a standard weekly rental agreement signed digitally online — no need to come in just to sign paperwork. The agreement covers the rental terms, mileage policy, payment schedule, and your responsibilities as a driver. Once you complete payment, you'll receive a link to review and sign. The lockbox code for vehicle pickup is released after you sign. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.

Use the "Get Notified" button on any unavailable car to join the waitlist for that specific vehicle. When it opens up, you'll be contacted directly — no need to keep checking back. Spots go to the waitlist in order, so the sooner you sign up the better your position. We're actively growing the fleet, so wait times are typically short.
